Welcome to Our Recovery Home!

Our purpose and goal is to provide a safe, clean, and quiet environment for the important cause of GLBT 12-Step Recovery in Phoenix.

The Phoenix Lambda Center has three tremendous foundations.

  • The first is our members. Each of our valued members gives generously toward the center. Many members give of their time and efforts working at events and fundraisers and general care of the facility.

  • The second is rents and contribution from the stable of groups at Lambda. Home groups provide responsible chairpersons that open and secure our building. They see that their groups leave the building safe, clean and secure. Some home groups give back to the center by hosting monthly Recovery Birthday Dinner/Meetings and fundraising events.

  • The third is our board of directors, committee members, and volunteers who give generously of their time and talents. They provide leadership, responsibility, and commitment.

What’s new at LPC? Lots!

Volunteers have provided a new coat of paint to the center, inside and out. New commercial ADA compliant toilets were installed in the restrooms, and a much needed commercial door was installed to the back of the club. Have you noticed we have someone working on our landscaping?

Progress has been made in our parking and zoning goals. Generous and caring professionals have come forward from within the GLBT community. They have begun surveys and are creating written plans for the first phases of the zoning process. We have been so blessed this year and have tremendous gratitude as these people come forward and work for the purpose of the center.

Outreach has made a strong effort to communicate with groups and individuals in Phoenix. We had a wonderful article written in Echo Magazine about our club purchase and the remarkable events that made purchase possible. We met with other GLBT groups to communicate about our clubs purpose. We participated in Phoenix Gay Pride with a fantastic float and booth and increased awareness.

Communications have improved as we publish the best recovery website, and an informative e-newsletter. If you are interested in the e-newsletter contact our outreach committee chairperson at, outreach@phxlambda.org.

Fellowship has increased between recovery groups, and we are making improvements to our Lambda Recovery Birthday Dinner/Meeting, which falls on the first Sunday of every month.

We welcome you to part and give back to the center.

There are many ways to give and we look forward to your help. We need your help and talents as we move ahead. You can contact our board at any time by e-mail at lambdaboard@phxlambda.org.

We thank all who participate in making our facility a warm, loving and caring place for recovery. We offer a special welcome to those of you who are new and seek help. All of us have traveled a path that has led to recovery, and we welcome you as we would welcome ourselves.

In Service,

The Lambda Board
