Vision   Hugs
Lambda was envisioned in the early 1980s by longtime members of our AA groups as a safe environment for sharing at recovery meetings from the GLBT perspective. We continue in that vision today as we provide that environment for more than 39 meetings with eight different types of recovery. Our membership provides a home for each of us to grow and find progress within our individual recovery group. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide a place for the GLBT newcomer to feel welcome, and the long-time member to feel safe. We invite you to join us and add your support.

Purpose   Meeting
Lambda's purpose is one of serving the GLBT community seeking recovery. We offer a meeting place for a wide variety of 12-step fellowships for alcoholics, drug and nicotine addicts, the family and friends of alcoholics, overeaters, and compulsive gamblers. As we courageously look to the future, we foresee Lambda continuing to grow as the Center's work evolves. We welcome all those seeking their individual styles of recovery, and thank all of those who contribute to this essential cause.

  Faces

In order to provide the best environment for recovery, our Lambda Board of Directors strives to support our recovery groups by practicing the principles outlined by their fellowships. Lambda is not AA, Al-Anon, CMA or any of the other recovery fellowship. We are a special-interest group with one goal in mind: to provide a safe, clean environment for GLBT 12-step recovery in Phoenix. We have a dedicated and giving membership. We listen to our membership individually and through the voice of their home groups.
